Silky Smooth Mocha Smoothie

This minimal ingredient smoothie bowl tastes like a guilty dessert but is actually packed full of antioxidants, hormone balancing maca, healthy fats, iron and magnesium.



what you'll need...

3 frozen ripe bananas (brown spotty nanas)
1/2 cup frozen cubed avocado
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp raw cacao
1 heaping tbsp coffee replacer powder like roasted barley/chicory/beetroot or use real coffee
1 tsp maca

Blend bananas and avocado with coconut milk until perfectly smooth - this may take a few minutes.
Turn to low speed and drop in your powders, blend thoroughly but not too much as this will melt the frozen ingredients. If you don't want a smoothie that is too cold, keep blending as the friction of the blender will warm up and melt the ingredients. Pour into a bowl and garnish with your favourite toppings. For a super decadent treat I used Central Roast natural dark chocolate coconut chews (all real ingredients!) plus raw cacao nibs for some crunch.
